ARKTEC has developed an integrated BIM system that enables the execution of an entire scaffolding project, from conception to structural verification, including budgeting, detailing, and calculation. As a result of this partnership, a new TRICALC.20 module for Scaffold Design, Budgeting, and Detailing has been added to the TRICALC system. This new module is integrated into the TRICALC menu, although a separate configuration with only TRICALC.20 functions is also available, designed for the sales team.

The new solution was jointly developed by the R&D departments of both companies over the past 12 months. This strategic alliance allowed this project to benefit from the extensive know-how of both Metalusa, in the construction and assembly of scaffolding, and Arktec, which has been developing software for the calculation of three-dimensional structures for 30 years.

Since 2012, when ARKTEC introduced T-CONNECT.5, a dedicated software for node verification in scaffolding, both on rosettes and clamps, structural calculations and node verification have been possible with TRICALC. The new solution, now presented, allows you to design and detail different types of scaffolding, creating both structural and non-structural elements, their quote, drawings, and 3D views.

The solution presented is a tool designed for the commercial area of scaffolding companies, where dozens of quotes need to be quickly generated per day. The application allows for intuitive selection of different types of scaffolding—linear or round scaffolding, access towers, loading towers, and their components: adjustable steel props, guardrails, walkways, safety railings, access points, and fasteners—to obtain an instant, detailed quote for all the elements required for scaffolding assembly. A three-dimensional BIM model is created from all these elements, which can be viewed and modified in the program. A list of the elements, a summary report, and drawings are automatically generated, allowing them to be sent to the client.
